Well, here it is, the last of our wedding photos! After a really joyous first look and a heart-throbbing ceremony, it was time to celebrate! We had our reception at the beautiful Cadre building in downtown Memphis. it was absolutely stunning. Our florist, Paula DeClerk, really captured everything we wanted the night to be: romantic, elegant, and timeless. There was no doubt I wanted an abundance of candlelight and a grand amount of gorgeous flowers. The handrails covered in vibrant greenery and bright flowers on the main staircase made me just swoon. Will and I were thankful to have a good bit of time in a bride room downstairs that let us really enjoy time together alone and the yummy food we had catered by Club Windward. We had the best mac & cheese station, Mexican bar, and slider buffet we've ever had. I ate it so fast that I couldn't breathe in my dress for a few minutes. (Haha!) It was then time to dance away to our first song, "Angel Eyes" by Jeff Healey. It was the first song Will ever sang to me. Prom night. April 9, 2011. The night he asked me to be his girlfriend. It was so magical to dance to it on our wedding night. We then cut our wonderful cake by Cakes by Mom and Me, and then it was time to boogie!
If anyone knows Will, they know that he is a heck of a musician. Okay, I may be biased. But, a huge congratulations does go to him for being voted Memphis' Best Local Musician. (So proud of you, babe!) I knew though it wouldn't be a Will Tucker wedding without him performing a couple songs for our guests. It just tugged on my heartstrings when he started the set off by singing a song to me, "Whatever It Is" by The Zac Brown Band. I just couldn't hold it together. And then, the party was rolling. We spent the rest of the night dancing and socializing away. We were sent off in a parade of sparklers and headed away in Will's '57 Bel Air, the same one we went to Senior Prom in. It was an absolute dream. I think all those sentimental, personal touches that were put into our wedding, such as the guitar pick in my bouquet (read the story here), our wedding song, and the Bel Air, really were my favorite parts. It made me remember the all those years of dating and look back on how we got from there to here. So crazy!
It was such a blessing to be able to just step back for a (very) quick second and see all the people we loved and cared for most in one room. It meant the world to us to have so much love, support, and prayers behind us and our marriage. We cannot thank everyone enough for just absolutely everything. We wish we could re-live this night over and over again. It truly was the best day of our lives! xo
