As I woke up today, I am still trying to process the fact that it has already been one year of marriage with this amazing man. It feels like just yesterday that I was walking down the aisle and celebrating with the best man and friends a girl could ever ask for. But I must say, this year has been THE most wonderful year of my life. Marriage contains a lot of laughter, cries, happiness, love, patience, selflessness, devotion, and praise. It is one of the most absolute beautiful things that God has put on Earth. We are two imperfect people that are pursuing a commitment that God designed for perfection. The only closeness we can get to the perfection of the beauty of marriage is by sustaining our foundation in God Himself. On this day one year ago, we met before the Lord to be united as one. We vowed that He would always be first through our individual lives and our marriage. The only way we can uphold the sweet vows we made one another is by holding steadfast in the vow we made to the Lord. This year has proven that it is neither easy nor hard. Yes, marriage is work. But when you have something so precious and something you love so much, how can it ever feel like work. As we enter our second year of marriage, my prayer for this year is that we continue to grow deeper into the love of the Lord - individually and through our marriage. I pray more adventures will be taken so we may learn more and more about each other every day. I pray that the Lord will keep us patient as we listen for what the next step is in life, our careers, and our family. But most importantly, I pray that we continue to have fun, smile, laugh, love, and give all the glory of the next year to the Lord.
Will, you are the man that is beyond my wildest dreams. It is a consistent question to the Lord of how I got to marry such a humbled, selfless, wonderful man. I am so proud to be your wife. You are such a talented, caring, supportive human being. You have carried and led yourself, our home, and our marriage through the Lord and for that I am forever grateful. You somehow always find a way to make me smile through the hard and bad days. I want to thank you for always pushing me to be the best wife, friend, and sister in Christ I can be. I am so thankful that you are always supportive of the things that I am passionate about. I will always be your number one supporter through your career, hobbies, life, and your walk with the Lord. Thank you for giving me the absolute best year of my life. Here's to the next... xo We want to thank everyone for all the love, time, effort, support, kind words, and prayers that y'all have given us. Trust me, it means more to us than you know. If you happen to miss any of the four parts of our wedding I posted on the blog, you can catch them here, here, here, and here.
