Hello darlings! It has been WAY too long since I have posted. I am telling y'all, this internship takes time! But, as for that, it is going great. I work on social media and marketing, so it has helped me to decide that I think I want to take on marketing as a minor. Being an active social media-obsessed blogger already, it was only the perfect fit. As for anything else going on in my life, here and there trips have been taken, and I have been completely obsessed with Gossip Girl. I know I am late to the party. However, I think the biggest news around here has been,...wait for it...we got a HUGE Forever 21 in Memphis. You can say I almost had a heart attack and a broke wallet.
I hope everyone had a wonderful Fourth of July! I would say it is one of the best holidays, but being such a festive person, I love every holiday! Although Christmas has a strong first. Of course, we headed off to Alys Beach for 8 days to take part in sunbathing on the beach, kayaking in the ocean, and relaxing by the gorgeous pool. And, man! Does Alys know how to host a Fourth of July?! The prettiest fireworks I have ever seen!
As for today's blog post, it is all about white hot summer. Since I do have to go into a more formal environment everyday than a clubhouse or festival, I mostly spend my time in jeans (or dresses.) But, I have been bringing out the summer colors. When I found this white boyfriend blazer at Forever, I thought I hit the motherload. It has been an essential on my wishlist that I could never find. Of course, leave it to my favorite store to come through for me again. Now, if you are not opting for jeans but still want to throw on a boyfriend blazer for this summer, you are not out of luck. Throwing on a sleeveless collared shirt, tucking it in, buttoning to the top button, and adding a belt, if you'd like, will keep you on trend and the trendiest! With mine, I took on the periwinkle scoopneck and this awesome necklace that I thought was sold out online, but really, it was just in the store. (Those tricksters!) To keep it laid back and comfortable for my feet, I paired it with my Chuck Taylors. They seem to be my go-to shoes nowadays.
I just want to thank everyone for their patience this last month. I know y'all may have heard this once, or twice...or three times, but when you have a fulltime job, you just try to do your best. This blog means so much to me, and I appreciate every single one of y'all supporting it. XOXO
