Two-pieces are in this summer! And, you know you are in love with a set when you buy it in both of its available colors. I mean, c'mon! Do you blame me?!? I love the idea of a two-piece, but I am always too critical of just how cropped the crop-top part of it is. When I saw that this ensemble had a high enough high-waisted skirt and lower crop top, I knew these were the pieces I could invest in. They are so versatile to put the tops with different bottoms or the skirts with different tops. The black floral set is perfect for any music fest coming up or a great going-out outfit for when you take a trip to the beach. I love the idea of the white floral set for a shower or bachelorette outfit for the bride. Either way, you cannot go wrong with either! ...
It's ceremony time! Will and I are quite a traditional couple and really plant our marriage and lives within the Lord. There was no question that we wanted to get married within a church. This church, especially this chapel, was very dear to Will's family history, and it happened to be just the right size for the amount of guests we wanted to invite. The dark wood and organ pipes sure made for the theme we wanted our guests to feel: romantic, classic, and grand. I remember so well how nervous but excited I was getting while I was standing behind those beautiful chapel doors. I heard our good friends, Josh Maze and Jordan Smith, singing the song we chose for right before I walked down the aisle, "You're Beautiful" by Phil Wickham, and I just started bawling. It was a very dear moment for me that day. I literally cry every time I hear it now.
There are no words to describe the moment before your groom turns around to take his first look at you. There are so many emotions that were going through me. It was just pure happiness when I was in his embrace for the first time in a wedding dress. He was the most handsome groom I had ever seen. It was not the initial plan to do a first look because we are so traditional, but there were so many pros over the cons that it was the best decision for us. These moments of just us two before the big ceremony was everything I needed. I just could not wait to walk down the aisle to him in a few minutes after this.
