Hello my fellow darlings! Let me just say: being a full-time student, working part-time, planning a wedding 24/7, and trying to figure out how to decorate a humble abode that shows off me and my wonderful fiance's taste is overwhelmingly time-consuming and stressful, so I apologize for my leave of absence. BUT, I am back in business. School is almost out for the summer (can you say hallelujah!), and though I am on the hunt for an internship, I feel my blood pressure level may finally decrease a little. Since we are speaking of the upcoming season of tasty grill-outs, refreshing dips in the pool, and heat that'll make you want to say "I wish it was fall" (you know it happens EVERY year), I decided to get into the spirit with Victoria's Secret. For Spring Break this year, we traveled on down the road to none other than Alys Beach, FL on 30-A. It is absolutely gorgeous, and it will never officially feel like summer to me until I make the first trip down there. But for now, I will have to reminisce on my short-lived week back in March.
For the first day out, I went with one of my fave suits from Victoria's Secret that I snagged back in Nashville when we had some down-time before heading to see Echosmith that night. (Which was so much fun, might I add.) Trying to figure out the cover-up for a bathing suit can always be so fun yet difficult. I threw this Forever 21 cardigan that I have had for some time in my suitcase before heading out the door, but little did I know how much I would love it as a cover-up. All the vibrant colors can really add some oomph to even an all-black suit. And, it is so light and flowy that it never adds any fuss. I discovered the new trend of the half-up bun do, and I have been obsessed ever since. It's perfect to hit the beach or pool in when you want to add a beach wave texture but also keep all your hair out of your face. I added some light pink lips to offset all the bold colors I chose for this outfit. All that was left was Harper's Bazaar, refreshing Coke Zero, and some good ole Zac Brown Band tunes to make a perfect beach day.
I don't know about you, but I am ready to ring in summer with some sun, sand, and sea!
Have a fabulous Monday! xoxo
